Viamericas, a leading provider of remittance and international money transfer services, and Grupo Financiero G&T Continental (Banco G&T Continental) announced the renewal of their annual fundraising campaign supporting Viamistad, which provides social, recreational and personal development opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities in Guatemala.
For more than 100 adults who participate in Viamistad’s camps each year, the program offers a place to reconnect with friends, try new activities and build confidence. These experiences are especially meaningful for individuals who may have limited opportunities to socialize and engage with others in their communities.
“I’ve been coming to Viamistad for several years, and it’s become something I look forward to every year,” said Jose Luis Marriegos, a Viamistad participant. “I’ve made friendships here that mean a lot to me, and every time I come back, there’s something new to experience. It’s a place where I feel comfortable being myself.”
Between November 1, 2026, and April 30, 2027, Viamericas and Banco G&T will make fixed contributions for each qualifying remittance transaction paid through Banco G&T to help fund Viamistad’s summer camps and entrepreneurship programs. Customers will not incur any additional fees as a result of the campaign. The contributions do not depend on the amount sent, and no portion of the customer’s transfer will be deducted or donated.
